H.W.Wilson Limited achieves another great score from The Considerate Constructors Scheme

05/03/2012

On the 24th February 2012 Colin Kemp from the Considerate Constructors Scheme visited our site at Deneholm Primary School, Tilbury, and was impressed with our staff and site.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme was set up to improve the image of construction and achieves this by monitoring all registered companies, suggesting areas where improvements could be made and rewards those who are performing at the highest levels.  The report highlighted H.W.Wilson Limited's attitude towards keeping a clean and tidy site, especially in a school, and commended our weekly boundary inspections, mud free site entrance and the litter picking which our operatives carry out. The safety of the school children has been our main priority throughout the project, with the Contracts Manager, Philip Pearson, holding a special assembly to warn children of the dangers of construction sites. Philip has set up a competition with the pupils at Deneholm School to design a child friendly construction site poster. The winner will receive a family ticket to Adventure Island, Southend, and the poster will be used on all H.W.Wilson Limited construction sites at schools. The report also praised H.W.Wilson Limited staff for their uniform, photo ID badges and clean vans.

All staff working on the Deneholm School site are CRB checked, hold CSCS cards and are fully qualified, experienced tradesmen. The results of the report have been communicated to all staff and will be taken into consideration when March's Employee of the Month Award is given.
